The space race suggested to Giulio Turcato some works in which the surface of the Moon is shown as dense in craters, as in fact in those years began to be visible thanks to ever-closer space probes. Foam rubber, on which these works are created, allows reproduction of the fantastic moonscape in miniature. Turcato wrote: “I use foam rubber because its coarse crust is full of new events and wonderment”.
