All for the Hall: art in support of art
Renowned American artist Robert Longo invited 60 artists to donate works of art for a special exhibition in support of the Guild Hall, the historic multidisciplinary center that has long served the East End artist community of Long Island.
In response to the impact of the pandemic, the artist organized All for the Hall, an exhibition that includes painting, sculpture, photography and new site-responsive installations by artists such as Cindy Sherman, Rashid Johnson, Shirin Neshat, Tony Oursler, and Laurie Anderson.
All for the Hall will be on display at the Guild Hall Museum from 8 August to 31 December 2020.
All works will be on sale on the museum’s website at lower prices than the market, ranging from $500 up to $170,000, such as the work of artist and organizer Robert Longo, Study of Angel Wing (2020), which will be sold with an initial offer of $90,000. All proceeds will benefit Guild Hall.
